The following weaknesses were observed from candidates' work:

• Inability to draw to scale.
• Failure to dimension and label key building elements drawn in section.
• Poor knowledge and skills of geometric construction.

  To overcome these weaknesses, candidates should be taught on:

• various scales used in building construction;
• the proper methods of dimensioning building drawings;
• construction of lines, angles, circle, arcs, polygon etc.

In addition, candidates should be given ample building drawing assignments in order to enhance their flexibility in drawing.
