Question 5: Matthew 4: 1 -11
(a) Give the account of the temptation of Jesus as recorded in
Matthew's Gospel.
(b)State three points of significance in this story.

This question was well answered by the candidates that attempted it.
All the points in the marking scheme were mentioned but unfortunately
those who did not read their Bible failed to do well. Such candidates did
not state the temptations as it appeared in the Bible. Those who did well
in (a) part also tried to have the points expected of them in (b) part.
On the whole the performance of the candidates in the question was just
above average.
