Question 8
Question 8: Acts 8:2640
(a)Describe the conversion of the Ethiopian Eunuch.
(b)What two lessons can be learnt from the life of the Eunuch?

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Observation

As straightforward as this question on the conversion of the Ethiopian
Eunuch is, most of the candidates dodged it, the few that answered it had
scanty points. Some vital points missed out were:
(i)It was the spirit that urged Philip to join the Eunuch in his chariot.
(ii)Also Philip asked the Eunuch if he understood what he was
reading.
(iii)The Eunuch commanded the chariot to stop and both of them went
down into the water.
The (b) part of the question was not adequately handled because they had
scanty knowledge of the -story and so failed to mention essential points as
(i)People should seek God with sincerity.
(ii)Openness of God brings salvation and favour.
(iii)There is need to be humble in life.
