In this question, candidates were required to

(a) State features of a good cake.

(b) State defects that could occur in cakes.

Observation

 

In question 1(a) many of the candidates were able to state features of a good cake correctly and performed highly. The features include It should be fluffy/light in weight, the flavor should be pleasing, it should be soft in texture/not hard, it should be golden brown in colour. In 1(b) the candidates were expected to state defects that could occur in cakes. Many of the candidates answered correctly and obtained high scores.
