CANDIDATES' WEAKNESSES

 

Candidates:

  • had poor knowledge of significant figures;
  • could not deduce correct inferences from observations;
  • lacked practical experience;
  • were not familiar with laboratory apparatus;
  • used wrong units.

 

The following remedies were however suggested.

Candidates should:

  • be familiar with the examination syllabus;
  • improve on their study habit;
  • learn how to deduce inferences from observations made in qualitative analysis;
  • improve on their arithmetic skills e.g addition and significant figures.
