Observation
A large percentage of candidates attempted this question. Performance was high due to the fact that the question was a direct application question and candidates used their knowledge of everyday traffic experiences to answer this question. Other point that could have aided a better performance for the candidates are:
A. IMPORTANCE OF OBSERVING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
- To preserve lives.
 - To maintain law and order in the society.
 - To learn and master road signs and regulations.
 - To inculcate positive attitudes in citizens towards road use.
 - To reduce the number of accidents on the road.
 - To ensure smooth flow of traffic on the road.
 - To ensure proper identification of vehicles and other road users.
 
B. ROLES OF CITIZENS IN OBSERVING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
- They help control vehicles through volunteering.
 - They obey traffic rules and regulations e.g speed limit, overtaking, zebra crossing, no phone use while driving, drunk driving etc.
 - They organize enlightenement programmes in road.
 - They use road safety club/associations on road.
 - They help in minor repairs of road
