The candidates were required to:

2.(a) i. Identify the features labeled II, IV and VI in the diagram of a blouse
ii. Suggest suitable seam for joining the part labeled II to the armhole
iii. Identify the edge finish labeled I.
IV Mention the fullness labeled III

(b) Suggest the following;
i. a suitable opening and fastening for the back of garment
ii. an appropriate seam for joining the parts labeled IV and V;
iii. two appropriate edge finishes for the seam suggested in 2(b)(ii) above. iv. two edge finishes for the neckline

(c) Suggest two suitable stitches for working the part labeled VI

The expected answers are

OBSERVATION

Identification of features of a blouse and suitable seam, edge finish and fullness of labeled features, not was answered properly by most candidates, which made them to loose some marks. They couldn’t also mention suitable opening and fastening for back of garment and edge finishes for the neckline, suitable stitches for working was not answered correctly.
