Candidate's Weakness

Candidates showed weakness in questions 2, 3, 7 and 8. Few candidates attempted these questions and their performance was poor.

- For question 8, the candidates did not use the currency sign as required in the question.

- Poor preparation for the examination.  This was observed in candidates’ poor responses to questions, showing inadequate knowledge of the subject.

- Insufficient knowledge of the subject, as a result they could not satisfactorily attempt application questions.

SUGGESTED REMEDIES

(i) Candidates should be encouraged to study standard and comprehensive textbooks in their preparation for the examination.
(ii)Candidates should cover every part of the syllabus while preparing for the examination.
(iii)Candidates should study the way to answer application questions.
