Observation

           The expected answers were;

(a). A system in which the output is mechanically controlled by the difference between the input and feedback signals.

(b). Examples of Servomechanism

-Hydraulic servos

-Pneumatic servos

-Electric servos

(c). Applications of Servomechanism

- Radar control

- Automatic doors

- Auto pilots of aircraft

- Video player

- Robot

- Communication satellite

- Space vehicle

One generally accepted definition of the term servomechanism is an automatic device that uses error-sensing feedback to correct the performance of a mechanism. The term correctly applies only to systems where the feedback or error-correction signals help to control mechanical position or other parameters. Servomechanism are mainly position control and speed control devices found in hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic drives. Despite the frequency with which this question features, performance was rather poor.
