Observation

The candidates were required to read the passage and summarize some details in a specific number of sentences. Majority of the candidates performed poorly here. Many of the candidates resorted to copying portions of the passage as answers. It was also observed that a few candidates could not separate the main ideas/points from details and illustrations.
Some candidates wrote their answers in phrases instead of sentences as demanded.
Candidates must understand what the passage says and what the questions demand and then, summarize in their own words.
