• Candidates’ Weaknesses

It was reported that many of the candidates failed the open ended questions in the Listening Comprehension test. Also, French words like “accès, aujourd’hui, figurant, préfèrent, diffusés, etc” were badly pronounced in the Reading passages.

3.         SUGGESTED REMEDIES

• Candidates should endeavour to practice all aspects of the Oral French before the examination.

• Candidates should work more on their pronunciation.

• Candidates should do a lot of practice in both oral and written composition. They should also try to converse in French at every given opportunity.
