Candidates were expected to state safety precautions to be observed when using a portable power jig.  The question was well attempted and the candidates performance was okay.

The soloution is shown below:

-           Check security of guards, fences, cutters and attachment;
-           Switch off power tool to make adjustment;
-           Switch off and remove plugs from power outlet when fitting attachment;
-           The machine should reach its full speed before operating it;
-           Do not stand on a damp or wet floor;
-           Do not wear loose clothing;
-           Keep fingers away from the blade;
-           Do not force and overload the Jig saw motor;
-           Use correct type of blade;
-           Make sure the blade is sharp;
-           Make sure the work is held securely to prevent vibration;
