Candidates who attempted this question performed well but none of them listed uniform in strength and stiffness as an advantage.
           
            Candidates were expected to list any two of the following points:

            (a)        it can be nailed towards the edge without splitting;
(b)        it is not prone to warping;
(c)        uniform in strength and stiffness;
(d)       not prone to shrinkage;
(e)        can be produced in large size;
(f)        economical in use.
