The candidates were required to
3a. state rules to be observed when making fastenings
b. list parts of the garment where zip fastenings may be introduced
c. mention places where pattern alterations can be made
d. name pattern symbols used in pattern adaptation

3a was very popular and they did justice to the question. Some candidates were able to mention where zip can be inserted in a garment while some wrote the main garment like gown, blouse etc instead of their positions like fly of trousers wrist area of shirt, front or side of skirt etc. Question 3c was properly answered.
