The standard of the paper was comparable with those of the previous years. The questions were presented in simple and concise language that could be understood by all candidates. The questions covered all aspects of the syllabus and the rubrics were clear.  The marking scheme was clear and adequately answered the questions.  The performance of the candidates fell below those of the previous years, most likely because of inadequate preparation by the candidates as evidenced by their poor performance in vital sections of the syllabus like map work and surveying.
