(c)Highlight any three major problems resulting from water pollution.

This was a very popular question among the candidates and most of the candidates that answered the question performed very well.  However, a few of the candidates who answered the question misinterpreted the (c) aspect of the question to “mean major problems resulting from pollution”.  The major problems resulting from water pollution include:

-           water borne diseases e.g. cholera;
-           extinction of aquatic plant and animal species;
-           shortage of clean water for domestic use;
-           shortage of water for industrial use;
-           ecological imbalance;
-           rapid growth of water weeds;
-           polluted water cannot be used for agricultural purposes;
-           migration of people and animals.
