This was one of the most popular question among the candidates. 
Their performance on the question was generally good. However, some of the candidates could not correctly define manufacturing industries.  Manufacturing industries are industries/production plants which process raw materials (organic and inorganic) into finished goods.

Although many candidates correctly listed the factors that favour the location of manufacturing industries and the problems facing the growth of manufacturing industries, they did not go further to explain the points raised.  This made them lose precious marks.
