Many candidates answered this question and their performance in it was good.However, a few of them still need to improve on the aspect of map work.Some candidates could not outline the importance of hydroelectric power to the economy of African Countries.  The expected answers include:

• generate power for industrial uses;
• employment opportunities;
• attraction of settlement for workers;
• generates income to workers;
• generates foreign exchange.
