The weaknesses observed in the candidates’ scripts in the three Home  Economics Subjects that affected their performances were as stated below:
                            wrong  spellings
                            poor expression by the  candidates failure to start each question on a fresh page lack of subject terms  poor definitions
                           SUGGESTED REMEDIES 
                           Teachers:                          should adequately prepare  their students for the examinations.
                            should explain the meanings  and emphasize correct spellings of the technical terms while teaching.
                            should revise past questions with their students to enable them to  learn how to answer questions in the examinations.
                            should also give their  students more writing exercise during tests and continuous assessment.
                            Workshops and seminars should  be organised for teachers to update their knowhow in their subjects.
                            Candidates: should master English Language  so as to be able to express themselves.
                            should make more use of  English Dictionary in order to master their spellings.
                            should learn to start a  question on a fresh page, should read widely to acquire adequate knowledge.
