This required the candidates to:

1. explain the types of simple garment repair: elastic and zippers. This is on how to repair them on garment already worn. Majority of the candidates wrote the uses of elastic and zippers and few wrote on how to fix fresh ones on new garment. they were to answer it as
2. Elastic - unpick a few stitches of the casing of the elastic, pull out the old elastic, replace a new piece of the require length using a small safety pin
3. Zippers – if the bottom or stop-end of the zippers breaks, sew it up with a strong thread using several  rolls of stem stiches, when the zippers loses its teeth replace with another zipper.

1. state procedure for the care of clothes. How to take proper care of our clothes. This part of the question was not properly digested by candidates. All the candidates wrote on laundering procedures like sorting, washing etc. Therefore the candidates were not able to answer it correctly.
