  1. Wet ñwedetob nọ adaiwuod ufọkutom aseeghe ñkpọ abaña ukpeeb ñwed ke sted ndufo adibeeñe anye mbo mbọk, yak añwam adideeme mme ñwed nsịn ke iseñwed ufọkñwed ndufo. Dọkkọ anye ufọn iba se mme ñwed ado adinam inọ nditọ ufọkñwed ndufo.
  2. Wet ñwedetob nọ ufan mfo abaaha ke obio mbakara adikọọm anye ke ufa ọfọñ anye akunọọhọ, nyʌñ dọkkọ anye ke amaaboiyo udomo akpatre isua ufọkñwed. Nam anye adiọọñọ ñkpọ ita akuñwamma fien adiboiyo udomo ado.
  3. Wet inem mbʌk keed adisọọñọ ñke abooho “Umaukop idʌñ afọn, idʌñ afọn, ato ke mme anam nti ñkpọ”.
  4. Wet ñkpọ baña iwuodikọ ami “Ufọn anaaha nte nditọ ufọkñwed esikeene ewuaana ke mme nduba uwedñkpọ ye mfaaña ke ufọkñwed”
  5. Wet mfaaña ke iwuodikọ ami “Utem ndidia ke ifia afọn akan utem ndidia ke adan-ikañ

 

Observation

The candidate was required to write a letter to a friend who lives abroad thanking him/her for the gift of a new cloth and informing the friend of the candidate’s success in the promotion exams. The candidate was also to explain to the friend three things that contributed to the success. Candidates’ performance in this question was encouraging.

 

The candidate was required to write a letter to the State Commissioner of Education requesting him/her to equip the candidate’s school library with books and explaining how these books would be of benefit to the candidates. Candidates’ performance in this question was good.

 

The candidate was required to write an essay that demonstrates the stated Ibibio proverb. Candidates’ performance in this question was poor.

 

This is an essay on the topic “The need for students to always participate in essay and debating competitions in their schools”. Candidates’ performance in this question was very good.

 

The candidate was expected to write an argumentative essay on the topic “Cooking with firewood is better than cooking with stove”. The performance of candidates in this question was fair.
