OBSERVATION

The question demands a discussion of the play as a criticism of injustice in apartheid South Africa.
Many candidates who were attracted to this question gave a mere narration of the incidents in the play.
Candidates were expected to discuss the following points to portray injustice in the play.
-           Restriction of movement through the passbook system.
-           Discrimination against Blacks in terms of education, work and quality of life.
-           Blacks as victims of oppression, crime, insecurity and dehumanization.
