Few candidates attempted this question. Candidates appeared not to have understood the question as they merely narrated and could not make references to the text.

The required answers should include:

i. The Omniscient Point of View of the author.
ii. The author’s use of flashbacks.
iii. His use of the African Oral Tradition.
iv. His use of dialogue and figurative language, e.g., similes, metaphors.
iv. His use of local terms to add colour to the setting.
v. His use of traditional songs.

Candidates’ performance in this question was poor.
