The following materials are supplied:
(a) flat mild steel plate, 62 mm x 42mm x 3mm (2 OFF) for parts A and B;
(b) one flat mild steel plate, 62 mm x 52 mm x 3mm for parts C;
(c) mild steel rod Ø5 x 6 mm (3 off);
(d) one cotton bag 100 mm x 80 mm;
(e) two tie-on labels.
The diagram shows the assembly and detailed views of each part of a fitting exercise. Using the materials supplied, prepare the parts and assemble the pieces.
Observation
Majority of the candidates attempted this question. They were able to cut and file the parts.
