Some candidates could not satisfactorily interpret the sketch given them in the test paper. Most candidates could not perform the machining exercise contained in the question paper.

SUGGESTED REMEDIES FOR OVERCOMING WEAKNESSES

Teachers were urged to adequately groom their students on how to interpret working drawings. Students should be taught how to perform some basic machining operations.
