            (a)        State the metre and tempo used in the piece;

            (c)        list any three compositional devices used;
            (d)        Quote the main rhythm employed in the first section of the melody;
            (e)        State the Italian translation as the tempo mark 'SLOW AND GRAND';

Observation

Most candidates who studied the set works ahead of the examination did well by supplying the expected answers whereas those who refused to study' the set-works and assumed that they could only use their residual knowledge in answering the questions performed poorly or out-rightly avoided the questions.
