CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

Many of the candidates performed poorly in two part writing and modulation in questions 3 and 6. The poor performance was due to poor aural perception and weak musical notation of many of the candidates.

SUGGESTED REMEDIES TO OVERCOME CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

Candidates should be exposed to thorough aural training before taking the WASSCE. They should also listen sufficiently to more of art and classical music.
