Observation

The many of the candidates’ answered the question correctly while , few of them answered incorrectly due to the fact that they could identify/state the function of the safety equipment. The candidates were expected to provide the following answers to the question:

(a)        -           J   -  ear muffs
-           K  -  goggles
-           L   -  respirator
-           M  -  safety boot
-           N   -  safety helmet
-           O   -  overall

(b)        -J   -  it reduces high frequency noise.
-           K  -  it protects the eyes from flying particles.
-           L   -  it prevents the painter from inhaling fine dust and fumes.
-           M  -  it protects the foot from sharp objects/dropping objects/slipping.
-           N   -  it protects the head from falling objects.
-           O   -  it protects the body from paint and solvent.
