The standard and quality of the paper compared favourably with those of previous years.   The questions achieved good coverage of the syllabus.  While the rubrics were clear and the questions were also straight forward.  The marking scheme was exhaustive.

The performance of the candidates was slightly better than that of previous year given the raw mean score of 20 and a standard deviation of 8.72 compared to a raw mean score of 18 and a standard deviation of 10.34 in the November/December 2008 WASSCE.
