Weakness and Remedies

• Poor mathematical representation.
• Mishandling of units where conversion is inevitable
• Poor arrangement of facts.
• Possession of vague ideas about some concepts like kinetic theory of gases, renewable energy, six’s maximum and minimum thermometer etc.
• Inability to
• express themselves in good and simple sentences
• give correct definition of some terms.
• recognize the appropriate equation of motion (i.e  =  +2gh or   = ) to apply from the standpoint of the given data in question 1.

Based on the observed weaknesses, the Chief Examiners recommended as follows:

• Physics teachers should endeavor to solve mathematical problems after each lesson.
• Candidates should study and not read Physics
• Qualified and experienced Physics teachers should be employed
• Government should equip school laboratories with apparatus for effective learning
