Weakness and Remedies
The following were observed as the candidates’ weaknesses. Inability to:
- convert the raw values using the given scale factors;
- record measured/converted values to the required decimal place;
- plot correctly on the graph to the required least squares;
- follow prescribed format by plotting raw values instead of converted values;
- express clearly in simple language;
- evaluate reciprocals and square to the required decimal place;
- state relevant precautions correctly.
The following remedies were proffered:
- Teachers should teach basic concepts in Physics;
- More exercises should be given to candidates on computational skills and graph;
- Laboratories should be adequately equipped;
- Teachers should endeavor to attend WAEC coordination and marking exercise to acquire more experience;
- Parents should provide an enabling environment to candidates for improve performance.
