Candidates' weaknesses were seen in their inability to:

- sketch the water supply layout in a building and label the parts;

- sketch three types of trap for sanitary appliances;

- state five items in an article of association.

SUGGESTED REMEDIES FOR OVERCOMING THE WEAKNESSES

It was recommended that well qualified, well trained, technical teachers should be employed to teach the subjects in schools, especially the practical aspect.
