• (a)        Candidates’ Weaknesses

Candidates’ inaccurate readings translated into their undoing due to lack of understanding/lack of the measuring instruments required for the tasks.

(b)       Suggested Remedies

It was suggested that to remedy this weakness:

• the exposure of candidates to as many practical sessions as possible in the use of measuring instruments was necessary;
• appropriate authorities should provide functional electrical measuring instruments  for candidates’ practice before examination;
• teachers themselves were required to master the use of electrical measuring instruments to offer effective tutorship to candidates.
