Candidates' Weakness

• (i) Candidates were unable to distinctly state the functions of individual components and their corresponding stages in a CRT Television receiver and Radio receiver sets.
• (ii) Many candidates found it difficult to use electronic measuring instrument to obtain readings appropriately.

Suggested Remedies

It was suggested that to remedy this weakness:

• (i) candidates should be taught the functions of individual components and the purpose for which they were used in the stages of CRT Television and Radio receiver sets;
• (ii) candidates should be exposed to series of practical sessions and emphasis should be laid on the usage of electronic measuring instruments.
