Observation

(a)        Candidates did not include the major ingredients required in the definition such as – incentive tolls, mostly short term, designed to stimulate quicker or greater purchase of products or services.

(b)        Few candidates were able to list the correct sales promotional tool. These are some of the sales promotional tools. Special price offer, free sample distribution, premium offers, sales contest, raffle draws etc.

(c)        Many candidates failed to identify reasons why companies engage in sales promotion.
