Candidates' Weakness

 

Some of the weaknesses observed in the candidate’s script were:

- Inability to write and transcribe shorthand dictation;
- None of the students attempted display “advertising of paper”.

SUGGESTED REMEDIES
The following remedies were suggested towards improving the performance of candidates in subsequent examinations:

1. Candidates should focus on drilling with use of short forms, phrases and contractions in shorthand so as to improve on the placement of outlines and the speed;
2. Candidates should improve on their spelling and correct usage of English grammar so as to avoid grammatical errors;
3. More time should be allotted to practice before the examination with emphasis on tools on menu bar fonts during word processing;
4. Computer system should be provided for practical aspect of the paper.
