Most of the candidate that attempted this question performed excellently well. However few candidates were stating attributes of storekeeper in (b) aspect in contrast to the requirement of the question.
The responses expected from candidates are:
5 (a) Measures Mr Omo could implement to improve safety in business environment:
i. Provision of first aid box to take care of injured workers before receiving medical treatment;
ii. Shielding of all electrical installations to prevent fire outbreak;
iii. Provision of fire extinguishers at different points in the store to reduce damages caused by fire outbreak;
iv. Provision of health care facilities for workers;
v. Monitoring, maintaining and repairing all damaged electrical appliances;
vi. Training of staff on safety issues;
vii. Provision of personal protective wears to store staff;
viii. Ensuring compliance to safety regulations and procedures;
ix. Separation of high risk materials from other store items;
x. Displaying of safety signs at strategic locations;
xi. Provision of instructional manual on how to use technical equipment;
xii. Ensuring that emergency exit door is made free at all times;
xiii. Provision of good ventilation in the store to avoid heat and explosion.
