This question attracted a few candidates. Some of the candidates were able to make judicious interpretation of the subject matter, as they were able to make good compositions that were easy to relate with the theme of villagers searching for water. However, a noticeable deficiency is in representation of objects and figures in flat colours, devoid of the required grading of tones to give solidity and depict perspective.
This deficiency impacted negatively on the total marks scored by the candidates.
