Few candidates demonstrated high proficiency in their combination and application of colours, expressive illustrations and bold compositions. Some of these candidates also demonstrated strength in imaginative composition for the painting component of the paper and in the aspect of calligraphy, some candidates adopted familiar traditional motifs in embellishing the background.
