Question 1

Chucoco is a new beverage product by Chucolate Nig. Ltd. Design a pictorial poster for the advertisement of the product with the Unique selling Proposition (USP): RICH IN NUTRIENTS.


Colours: Not more than three.
Size:    40cm by 30cm.


Observation

Question 1 was attempted by many candidates. The performance was good. They were expected to respond to the question thus:

A. LAYOUT                              

1.  PLANNING                          

  1. Plan an appropriate illustration of Chucoco beverage in the pictorial poster design.
  2. Choice of suitable typeface.

  2. COMPOSITION
  1. Proper utilization of space. 
  2. Effective arrangement of pictures, the product, producer and the (USP): RICH IN NUTRIENTS.

 

B. TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY                 

(i) Ability to create and render expressive design.                                             

(ii) Use of appropriate illustration and skillful construction of letters.               

(iii) Skillful use of materials and instruments.                                                     

(iv) Ability to use effectively, the unique selling proposition (USP): RICH IN NUTRIENTS.        

C. COLOUR

  1. Choice of harmonious and contrasting colours.
  2. Effective mixture, application and distribution of colours to specification.

 

D. SUITABILITY                                

  1. Ability to produce an effective pictorial poster design. 
  2. Relevance of the design: Bold and Attractive.

 

E. ORIGINALITY                   
(i) Uniqueness of the design.                                                                                  

  (ii) Overall visual effect.
