height - 1,000;
width - 1,800;
depth - 600.

The cabinet members are framed with 20m thick timber with 6mm plywood covering on both sides.  The cabinet is divided into two compartments with a self at 380mm from the top.  The bottom compartment is sub-divided into two equal compartments with a partition. Each of the compartments has double doors.  The cabinet stands on a 100mm high box plinth.

1.         Make two preliminary freehand pictorial sketches for different designs of the cabinet.

2.         Select one of the sketches in question 1 and indicate the sketch selected with a tick (√).

To a scale of 1:10, draw in First Angle Orthographic Projection the following views of the sketch selected:

  1. the front elevation;
  2. (i) a cutting plane through one of the doors on the front elevation;

(ii) the sectional end elevation on the cutting plane.
