The following weaknesses were seen in candidates' drawing:
Repetition of the same design instead of two different designs.
The use of straight edge to draw instead of freehand.
Failure to name the views in question 2.
The overall dimensions and location dimensions of the partition and shelf were not
indicated on their sketches.
Poor draughtsmanship.
To overcome these weaknesses, more drawing and design assignments should be given to
students to enhance their flexibility in designs. Also, they should be made to visit
standard Woodwork shops.
