The candidates’ weaknesses include their inability to:

  • master the contents of the subject/Health education
  • express themselves in simple English Language
  • read extensively to cover the WAEC syllabus
  • relate Health topics to daily life within their environment.
  • identify urino-genital system.
  • name three parts labelled I,II,III and IV of the urino-genital system.
  • state functions of the part labelled IV of the urino-genital system.
  • mention substances expelled by the part labelled iv of the urino-genital system.
  • list disorders associated with the urino-genital system.
  • identify observable features of a person suffering from Kwarshiorkor
  • name the cervical bone illustrated in the diagram
  • state observable features which are characteristics of the cervical bone
  • name  the part labelled I,II,III,IV,V and VI of the cervical bone.
  • name other bones that are similar in structure to the cervical bone
  • name other bones that are similar in structure to the cervical bone
  • name the parts labelled I,II,III,IV,V,VI,VII and VIII of the digestive system
  • name the main types of cell in humans
  • nention the types of cell division

    The following remedies were suggested to overcome these weaknesses:

  • Teachers/Students should cover the WAEC syllabus
  • English teachers should teach  students how to write essay and correct the spelling mistakes.
  • Teachers/Students should relates teaching and learning to the immediate environment.
  • Dictionary should be used to proffer solution to unfamiliar words or terms..
