    The diagram below illustrates injured parts of the human body. Study it and answer questions 3 (a), (b) and (c).

    (a) Name:
    (i)   the structure illustrated; [1 mark]
    (ii)  the parts labelled I and II.  [2 marks]
     (b)  List three organs that are located in the structure. [3 marks]
     (c)  State two diseases that could affect any two organs in the structure. [2 marks]
     (d)  List the two injuries that could affect the structure. [2 marks]

Observation

 

This question was attempted by majority of the candidates and their performance was fair.
In Question(a)(i) many candidates were able to identify correctly the diagram. In part (a)(ii) many candidates could not name correctly the parts labeled. In Question(b) and (c) they did fairly well in it by being able to name organs located within the structure and their associated diseases. In Question(d) many candidates had a good score.
