Observation
Majority of the candidates were able to:
- list five walling materials for a domestic building
- state one advantage each for the use of the following:
- metal window frames;
- timber window frames.
However, few of them failed to identify the parts labelled M, N, O, P, Q and R correctly.

(ii) Timber window frames
- ease to work with;
- does not corrode;
- can withstand fire if treated;
- it is not affected by thermal movement;
- does not transfer heat;
- can be formed to any shape.
