(a) Sketch the conventional symbol for each of the following:
(i) bath tub;
(ii) switch socket outlet;
(iii)kitchen sink;
(iv)water closet.
(b) State three causes of accident on site.
Observation
Most candidates were able to state three causes of accident on site;
- sketch a timber stair of two steps.
However, majority of the candidates were not able to sketch the conventional symbol for bath tub, kitchen sink and water closet.

- when temporary platforms have not been properly braced or supported;
- when formwork or struts are removed without concrete attaining its hardened state;
- when correct protective clothing are not worn;
- when scaffolding are dismantled; without proper authority;

- human error/ lack of concentration;
- when wrong tools/equipment are used for work;
- when warning signs are not displayed;
- when safety rules are not followed on site.
