Question 11: Galatians 3: 23-29, 4: 1-7
|
(a)Explain Paul’s teaching that Christians are children of God through Christ
(b) State any three problems which confront Christian leaders today.
|
This question was very unpopular. Those who attempted it wrote off points hence had poor scores. Some of the candidates wrote their own opinion on who should be a son of God. It was an uphill task for them to mention points as: (i) That in Christ Jesus, we are all sons of God through faith (ii) He has reconciled us to God through faith. (iii) As adopted sons, we can therefore call God father. (iv) Paul explained, that we are no longer slaves but sons, and as sons then heirs.
The (b) part of the question was their undoing as only few gave correct answers. The points they would have mentioned are: (i) That as Christians we share the blessing of Abraham (ii) With the spirit of his son in us, we also share Christ’s victory (iii) Christians are no more under the law but children of God. The performance of candidates in the question was poor. |
