(b) What two lessons can Christians learn from this incident?
A reasonable number of the candidates answered this question and they had a good grasp of the story. They dwelt on David’s adultery with Bathsheba and how David masterminded the death of Uriah. But little attention was give to Nathan's intervention in the story
In the (b) part of the question they were able to condemn the sin of adultery and murder and they also commended the remorse shown by David when Nathan came to him. The overall scores of the candidate werequite encouraging.
