Majority of the candidates attempted this question. The performance of most candidates who answered it was above average. Candidates showed mastery in the question. The flaw detected was that some candidates were rather stating why NAFDAC has failed in her responsibilities. Some other candidates only listed the points rather than give a detailed explanation thereby missing out the full marks. Points candidates listed included:

- It regulates and control the importation and exportation of drug.
- It regulates and control the manufacturing, distribution and sales of drugs, cosmetic etc.
- It conducts inspections of imported goods, drugs, cosmetics so as to establish quality.
- It certifies production sites of food and drug related products.
- It registers food, drugs, medical services, bottled water and chemicals.
- It engages in the investigation of raw materials for food, drugs, cosmetics etc.
- It compiles standard regulations for production and importation.
