Candidates' Weakness
The candidates were unable to express themselves and could not make use of technical terms. They could not differentiate between clothing and textiles terms. Listing of the three methods of applying a conventional zipper was not very popular. Most of them could not differentiate between fabric and fibre. The candidates could not answer questions that involved sketching of diagrams.
To overcome these weaknesses, teachers should devote more time on practical aspect of the subject.
Candidates should be made to produce sample articles on each topic taught.
Teachers should teach every topic in the syllabus.
Students should be encouraged to do some sketching as class work.
